After growing up in that area, I miss the swings, slide and sandbox! Yeah, it's great for dogs, and toddlers that tire easily, but I miss the energy we had.. even 6- 12 year old flocked to the old park in the 80's. Some of the parks near me in Waltham (yes I still swing!), have all that stuff and more, and kids may sit on their phones and such, but they still get out and play on the jungle gyms an slides, and swing. Why only have a tiny enclosure with a couple of structures with all that open space!! Makes me sad!! It looks dog friendly not kid friendly; letting vrhe dogs roam free brings my PTSD up after getting but by a "friendly" pug that got aggressive with me, when I tried to let him sniff me palm down like behaviourists suggest.

There's some green space & shade here, & the playground has some unusual pieces, including metal balls to sit & bounce on & large disks on which to rotate. Howver, it omits more popular & familiar pieces--swings, slides, fort, poles, & the like. The newly reopened (& larger) playground in nearby Conway Park has all those & more.

Quiet little dog park everyone is pretty chill there. Everyone keeps getting to themselves. Except sometimes a furry little friend tries to eat your food lol. Very nice place to walk your dog and not have to worry about anyone else

We really enjoy perry Park. It's got a good gated space for little kids (mine really likes it now that she doesn't eat everything off the ground) and the open field are is fun to play. The dogs and the owners that we meet are always friendly. We're here at least 1x a week.

Great park, well maintained. I've only met friendly people there so far, most of which were dog owners bringing their pups like myself. For dog owners - the park even has a water fountain fitted with a bowl for dogs!
